As we begin to welcome students back to classrooms this week throughout Rhode Island, we are so grateful for the creativity, support and dedication of our teachers and school leaders who have made this possible.

As you know, the Governor announced this week that the state is giving our school leaders the option of shifting high schools to their limited in-person plan after Thanksgiving for two weeks. We’re keeping pre-k, elementary and middle schools open because our families deserve this learning option.
Collaboration is Key

As the Rhode Island Education Operations Center (EdOC) Outreach Team continues to travel around our state meeting with school leaders, school nurses, custodians, educators, and other members of the PreK-12 community, we have seen a great sense of appreciation and ingenuity as they collect challenges, lessons learned, successes, and perhaps most importantly, best practices.
